The Flukish Sgreak or Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Since the 2019 Holiday Season

The Tampa Bay Lightning are having one hell of a “fluke”, eh? That ph4ase is from 2011-12 and the Lightning’s AHL team (Coached by Jon cooper_. Thee remark, tweeted by goaltender Dustin Tokarski, was coined to push the fact the Admirals hockey club had to ignore accolades and keep performing top-level hockey.

Iy worked in the end, the Ads won the AHL championship.

You should be left in awe by what the Bolts are doing — and by the way, that was the 100th win in 140 NHL regular-season games (since the start of the 2018-19 season).. That soort of defies the cat-calling of disappointed fans who wanted Jon Cooper fired because of playoff failings in 2018 (…and 2019). Yes, winning in the regular-season isn’t the same as hoisting Lord Stanley’s cup, but neither is having a pro sports team that competes at the top-level of their sports league repeatedly.

Fans don’t want to settle with success, but it’s also important to keep a level head during success or failings. Show depth. The Bolts are doing that, and thus still succeeding.

A quick update and seeking input on Radio and streaming music submission options for indie musicians

With 100+ station/screams listed and 5,000 words, the C pos has become an immaculate reference point for independent ane small-time musicians who want to get yheir music exposed. I had started that list for potential pe5sonal use in 2018 and decided to post the (at the time) few station options as an o object of encouragement for musicians: Seek airplay in traditional media.

There have been two changes in the layout of the post in the past month – one was just “launched” today. Genre-specific streaming stations have their own “group” now. This move was made because genre-specific sites were part of the very long General section. Today’s change is the geographic division of the College Radio section. All the college stations were thrown in there in a generally disorganized way before today’s regrouping.

All of this may be a precursor to the post being broken up into three or fou5 posts. Stay tuned.

I ould use some suggestions on music genres and stations/streams to add. If you can suggest noteworthy college radio stations — small schools or major universities — to look into, that would be appreciated too.

The day when someone is lead to laughing over government officials being held accountable

The day when someone is lead to laughing over government officials being held accountable

I saw this headline and part of me thought, bravo. Those who oversaw an arm of local government in the Tampa Bay area were shrewd and did not allow the person in leadership to be a Maverik and do whatever the hell they wanted at a cost to the arm of government they oversee.

I was led to physically laugh about this. Not because I found it a joke (which others may see it as) but because of how it compares with Florida state government and especially federal government ar this point in time:

HART board votes to fire CEO Ben Limmer, following whistleblower complaint involving $500 in coffee supplies

via Creative Loafing Tampa

compare that to what the United States Senate allowed Donald Trump to get away with this week (and quid pro quo is only a fraction of the corruption ongoing in his Presidential administration) and it further makes HART’s responsible actions look humorous and a contrast. Holding someone in charge accountable?Th3 nerve…!

An online location for musicians and local music fans in Florida

A long-overdue Reddit community started in November 2019 aimed at music and musicians from the Sunshine State. This Reddit community is a place to promote, discuss, and experience.. well, if the community grows. Right now it has only 3 members. That will change.
