Zip Zaps + Cats = fun!

Ok, I’m in a juvenile mood, and it seems John cant make an entry yet tonight, so I’ll post on the fun that was my day…

You know those little hot wheels like RC cars that Radio Shack sells? If you have a cat, get one. Hours upon hours of entertainment.

Neat little idea those little RC cars, but seriously, why do people take these Zip Zaps so serriously? The official website offers tips on tinting the windows, and on making your own licence plates.

People post on forums about how they turn the stupid little things into rice rockets, much as they would their real cars (when mommy and daddy buy them one, that is).

Seriously people. THEY ARE TOYS!

But damn is it fun to screw with a cats mind with them. Hopefully my roommate doesnt kill me when she returns from visiting her family to a pair of paranoid felines worried about traffic congestion in the living room…

as a serious fan of those little micro r/c’s called zipzaps,I would like to say that for some of us its not about a little toy that you can customize, its about a chance to relax and play with something that (mostly) men like the most, cars and since we cant all afford a lot of real ones this is the next best thing, and yeah sometimes its nice to just run through the kitchen at scale speeds and watch the dogs go crazy or even try to avoid your 10 month old child.childish, maybe, but relaxing fun never-the-less.

Just toys!!! How dare you!! 😉 I won the “Ultimate Zip Zap Fan” contest from Radio Shack, and I beg to differ. I have every model made to date, and it’s more than just a toy, it’s a reason to live. As a kid growing up in Nebraska, I thought Hot Wheels where the best thing since bubble gum, but oh how I wished that the could move on their own. I used to scratch my head, trying to figure out why my sister would collect those darn “precious moments” figurines.. high-priced dust catchers. But now that I’m a collector, I can somewhat understand the love of something that you care so much about.

I agree with Frank from his post. The world needs more “relaxing fun” these days. Maybe they’re be fewer psychos running around?
